Most backup errors come from issues that CHKDSK can easily fix, so do this first. The first step to any Boot Camp Backup should be to run CHKDSK from within Windows. Close Preferences and you’re ready to start. You’ll get a confirmation message and your name and email address will appear in the License Information section. Navigate to where you saved the license file and click Open.
